Move over gray, there’s a new color in town – blue.
When I attended market recently I was struck by all the blue hues that were featured literally everywhere, but especially in the displays from the higher end designers.
While coral and green have been the “trend” colors of the last two years, blue is THE color right now. From navy to aqua, the various shades of blue are having a moment in everything from window treatments to wallpaper.
Blue has long been recognized as a color that promotes feelings of calm and creativity. Blue represents nature as both the sky and the sea. Blue is known as a regal color. When you consider all this, it’s no wonder we want to surround ourselves with beautiful blue!
In recent years, blue has taken a back seat in home interior design. I’m happy to report that blue is back in the spotlight and looking better than ever!
